We had a really great time on our trip to the 3 Guianas. Overall the trip was well organised and very interesting. Special mention for the guides Stefanie in Suriname and Glen and Marciano in French Guyana they pitched the trip just right with the amount of facts and history to make it interesting not boring. We booked the 9 day tour although we built in some buffer days at the beginning and end which we would strongly recommend for 2 reasons. Firstly, the original itinerary is a bit rushed, you would come off a flight ( ours arrived at 3am) and then do a city tour after breakfast, not ideal. Secondly, our flight to Suriname was delayed 19 hours, it seems Suriname airways flights are often delayed or cancelled. Fortunately we had a buffer day in Paramaribo at the end so we were able to do the city tour then, otherwise without buffer days this would have been missed due to flight delay. This is no fault of Travel the Guianas of course , it’s just the joys of travel. Overall Travel the Guianas were good and we would recommend them, although they can be slow to respond during the booking process and whilst on the trip. The standard of accommodation was suitable and comfortable for this type of trip as well as the dining options suggested on tour.

I had a wonderful time and a great adventure indeed. The Guianas are super fantastic and many people should experience it. From the Kaieteur Falls, to the Salvation Islands and the European Space Center, to the Dolphin River cruise and Peperpot Nature Park, absolutely amazing experience. Tour guides were great as well. Definitely something everyone should go and experience. Thank you for a memorable adventure!

We are not satified about the trip. We need to contact you several times just day before the trip and have confirmation of pick up. Driver changes and need to agree same issues twice. Drivers starts to ask about the payments even we have paid trip beforehand. And on Suriname side drives ask more money about long distance drop off even we have paid extra fee beforehand. Drives in Guyana side kept captured bird in his car. You do have serious problem with information flow in your service. It not client responsibility organize the details. Not good service!!!

Whilst initially Dinesh was slow at returning emails when I was researching this trip he and his son Anish arranged a great trip. I have travelled (mainly independently) to over 100 countries and I would recommend them for travelling in this part of South America. Their transport arrangements always arrived on time and their guides were personable, helpful and very knowledgable especially John ! If you are tempted to have this fascinating experience then I would recommend you do the Jungle village extension. The trip is not cheap but hotels good and what are not the easiest countries to get around (if you have limited time) were managed in a professional way. My wife are hoping to visit Angel Falls in Venezuela and would likely do this with Dinesh and company. There were 6 of us and by definition selecting such destinations attracted like minded well travelled people on the group. Overall I was very impressed with this and had a wonderful time and so thank you TTG!

The tour was generally well managed and the guides were all very good to excellent. Great level of English and very informative. John was exceptional. The transport was comfortable and always on time. The drivers were safe and careful. There were a couple of changes but nothing that was any trouble. I have an allergy to gluten and although my food allergies were asked about and well communicated to the tour company, not one of the guides or providers knew about it so there was always a struggle for me. This could have been at least somewhat avoided had they been aware and some might have catered to this. Otherwise I also spent a lot of time and money trying to find a guide into Venezuela. I waited a few weeks for a reply but it never came. In the end I had to cancel my idea and then I learned this company do have a Venezuela tour I could have done, they just failed to share the info with me although I asked them a few times. That’s quite frustrating as I’d bought specific flights but had to readjust. Also the space centre looks very nice but if you cannot understand French I would say it’s a long day. Maybe watch whatever you can ahead of the tour to be able to follow a little. We were all very frustrated that not a thing was translated even though it’s ‘Europe’s space centre’. Be aware the Ramada Princess staff will do their very best to swindle your money through switching drinks at the bar. The other sights were interesting and I really enjoyed the tour and gratefully we had a wonderful group of people. .
