Suriname is know for its cultural diversity as well the 93% coverage of Amazon jungle.
The city of Suriname, Paramaribo is part of the Unesco heritage site and consists of a lot of wooden buildings.
During the city tour you will wander around the streets and visiting the palm garden, the waterfront, the Baselica, the mosque and synagoge beside each other, the local market and visit as well the Fort Zeelandia museum.
After this tour that will be partly walking we go to Commewijne district where an old coffee plantation is takes over by nature. This old plantation is now confirmed to a nature park where we can spot several wildlife. The walking trail is almost 5 miles. Make sure to have your ears and eyes open all the time to get the most out of it.
The last part of this day tour will be the dolpin spotting in the estuarium of the Suriname and Commewijne river. These pink belly dolphins are in a school of almost 120. This will be done in a local tent boat.
The tour is guided and starts at 9 am. You will be back in your hotel around 5pm.
The transfer will be in busses. All local fees and entries are included in your tour as well as bottled water.
You will be given options for having a lunch break.
